COLLAGE (MAPS)

The impulse to make a collage begins, for me, out in the world. A map is a readymade; I don't have to dream it up. My job: take it apart and put it back together in a different order.

While a map presents itself as objective fact, of course it's not. The only thing a map describes with perfect accuracy is the mindset of its maker. Just as my collages map my own sensibility.
