A city reduced to its map, then reduced again to the skeletal lines of its streets. The city is missing, but implied.

Ordinarily, carbon paper is a medium of transfer. As the copy gets made, the carbon gets unmade. You keep the copy and toss the carbon. But what if you toss the copy and keep the carbon? In this city, unnamed streets cross unnamed avenues. The island of Manhattan becomes a drawing of itself, an island of darkness within a greater darkness.
