Panels painted with various blues. Drawn from dozens of housepaint companies, it's not uncommon to find two different blues that share the same name. Or two examples of the same blue, each with a different name.

Each volume reproduces 40 blues drawn from thousands of commercial paint colors. In the first volume, BLUE [blank], the artist selects colors in which "blue" is used as an adjective in the color's name, e.g. Blue Horizon, Blue Yonder, Blue Note. In the second volume, [blank] BLUE, the artist selects colors in which "blue" is used as a noun in the name, e.g. Epic Blue, Endless Blue, Timeless Blue.
